Product Description

The Acer palmatum 'Festival' is one of the many types of Japanese maple. The Festival is a plant with a mix of different colored leaves mixed together, giving you the real festival feeling! In spring and summer the shrub has yellow, green and dark red leaves. Towards autumn the leaves color orange and red. This mix of colors makes it a special plant to see and a beautiful addition to your garden.

Care
The Festival is a slow grower with a narrow, upright growth habit, which keeps the plant compact. You can therefore also grow this tree in a pot or in a smaller garden. Japanese maples are best planted from March to early November. During this period, the soil is warmer and the plants can root well. In a planter, this plant does not require special potting soil. Japanese maples are strong plants, but the leaves can be damaged in a windy location. Therefore, place the Acer in a sheltered spot. The plant prefers a spot in partial shade, preferably not too much direct sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can dry out the roots and leaves, which can lead to leaf loss. A Japanese maple is not evergreen, which means that it loses its leaves in the winter. However, the plant is very winter-hardy and will sprout again from March with beautiful new leaves.

Format
The plants have a height of 60-70cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 19cm.
