Acer palmatum 'Katsura' - Set of 2 - Japanese Maple

The beautiful Japanese Maple Katsura is an ornament for every garden, but can also be grown in a pot or container on the terrace or balcony. The plant can grow up to 3 metres high, but it takes many years before this height is reached. The Japanese Maple Katsura is a slow-growing shrub/small tree. The Katsura is a beautiful variety, with beautiful orange-yellow leaves in the spring. In the summer, the leaf colour is golden yellow-green, and in the autumn the plant steals the show with a beautiful orange autumn colour. The Japanese Maple is very winter hardy and deciduous.

Care
Japanese maples are best planted from March to early October. During this period, the soil is warmer and the plants can root well. In a planter, this plant does not require special potting soil. Japanese maples are strong plants, but the leaves can be damaged in a windy location. Therefore, place the Acer in a sheltered spot. The plant prefers a spot in partial shade, preferably not too much direct sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can dry out the roots, which leads to leaf loss and burning. A Japanese maple is not evergreen, which means that it loses its leaves in the winter. However, the plant is very winter-hardy and will sprout again from March with beautiful new leaves.

Format
The plant has a height of 60-70cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plant is supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 19cm.
