The Acer palmatum 'Orange Lace' is a rare 'limited edition' Japanese maple! This beautiful small Acer tree is very suitable for placing in pots and containers on the terrace or balcony. When the leaves first appear in spring, they are a striking dark orange. As the leaves age, they will gradually become lighter green. In autumn, they change back to beautiful vibrant colours, before losing their leaves, revealing the dark brown stems. This Acer gives you something to look forward to all year round. When given the space, the Acer Orange Lace can grow up to 2 metres high.
Dog Care
Japanese maples are best planted from March to early October. During this period, the soil is warm and the plants can root well. In a planter, this plant does not require special potting soil. Japanese maples are strong plants, but the leaves can be damaged in a windy location. Therefore, place the Acer in a sheltered spot. The plant prefers a spot in partial shade, preferably not too much direct sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can dry out the roots, which can lead to leaf loss and burn the leaves. A Japanese maple is not evergreen, which means that it loses its leaves in the winter. However, the plant is very winter-hardy and will sprout again from March with beautiful new leaves.
Format
The plants have a height of 60-70cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 19cm.
