Bring an oriental atmosphere to your garden, terrace or balcony with these beautifully coloured Japanese Maples. Japanese Maples are known for their beautifully coloured leaves and are real eye-catchers. Each tree has its own beautiful colours and leaves. This set contains 4 different types of Japanese Maples that will provide a lot of variety in the garden due to their different colours. The plants are winter hardy and can therefore be placed directly in the garden. Plant them in the open ground or in pots, separately from each other or as a group. The Japanese Maples grow to different heights and can therefore be perfectly placed together. They can also be pruned into beautiful bonsai trees! The set contains 4 different types: Acer palmatum Orange Dream, Acer palmatum Atropurpureum, Acer palmatum Butterfly and Acer palmatum 'Going Green'.
Care
Japanese maples are best planted from March to early October. During this period the soil is warmer and the plants can root well. This plant does not need special potting soil in a planter. Japanese maples are strong plants, but in a windy location the leaves can be damaged. So place the Acer in a sheltered spot. The plant prefers a spot in partial shade, preferably not too much direct sunlight. Too much direct sunlight can cause the roots to dry out, which can lead to defoliation and burning. A Japanese maple is not evergreen, which means it loses its leaves in winter. However, the plant is very hardy and will sprout beautiful new leaves in March.
Format
The plants have a height of 25-40cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 10,5cm.
