African Lily - Mix of 6 - Rhizomes

The Agapanthus originates from South Africa and symbolizes love there. This Agapanthus mix includes six robust rhizomes of Agapanthus africanus and Agapanthus orientalis, with a beautiful combination of blue and white flowers for a stylish contrast. The Agapanthus blooms profusely from July to September and is a real eye-catcher in the summer garden. The elegant flowers grow on sturdy stems that can reach a height of approximately 80 cm. This graceful plant is perfect for the garden, patio, or balcony and thrives in pots and planters. Thanks to the long, sturdy flower stems, the flowers are also excellent as cut flowers. The Agapanthus rhizomes can be planted from April to May, after which you can enjoy a rich and decorative bloom in the summer.

Dog Care
Agapanthus is best planted in a pot with good, well-draining potting soil. After the danger of night frost has passed, Agapanthus can also be planted outdoors in humus-rich, well-draining soil in a sunny spot. Plant the rhizomes about 10 cm deep and always use fresh potting soil in flowerpots and planters. Regular watering is important during the growing season, but watering should be reduced in the fall. Agapanthus is not winter-hardy; therefore, growing it in pots is recommended so the plants can overwinter frost-free. Keep the potting soil dry during the winter, water more frequently in early spring, and place the Agapanthus outdoors again after the last night frost.
