Allium Gladiator - Set of 16 - Ornamental onion flower bulbs

The Allium, also known as 'ornamental onion', is a special bulb that provides colour in the garden. They bloom between May and June, exactly when the spring bloomers are past their peak and the summer bloomers have yet to start blooming. This makes them the perfect bulbs to bridge this often somewhat dull period in the garden! The Allium Gladiator is one of the best-known and most striking ornamental onions due to its beautiful, deep purple flowers and height of approximately 125 cm that immediately attracts attention in the garden. They look special from a distance, but the closer you look, the more beautiful they become! The bulbs can be planted between September and December.

Care
Caring for an ornamental onion is not difficult: the plant mainly requires a sunny spot. Furthermore, it is sufficient to water the Allium at least once a week. In the autumn, cut away all faded flowers, but leave the green leaves. These will die off in the winter. The Allium Gladiator is winter-hardy, so you can safely leave the plant outside. That way you can enjoy it again next summer!
