Care
To bloom beautifully, the Bougainvillea needs sunny weather. However, if the plant is in full sun, give it plenty of water during the warm summer months, even every day during the warmest period. Always make sure that the water can drain through holes in the bottom of the pot, because the plant does not like wet feet. In the open ground this is of course not necessary, but the disadvantage of this is that you can hardly bring the plant inside in the winter. This is necessary to be able to bloom again next year, because the Bougainvillea is not winter hardy.
