Calamagrostis 'Karl Foerster' - Set of 2 - Ornamental Grass

Calamagrostis acutiflora 'Karl Foerster', also known as ostrich grass, is a popular ornamental grass because of its fine growth habit, beautiful flowering and graceful leaves. The grass can be recognized by the narrow gray-green leaves that grow compactly upwards. The grass blooms from June to August with beautiful red-bronze flower spikes that get a golden brown color in the fall. The Calamagrostis Karl Foerster is winter hardy and deciduous. However, the golden brown plumes remain upright in the winter, which makes the grass a beautiful asset to the garden all year round. The grass is very suitable for planting in a group, but also looks good as a solitary.

Care
Calamagrostis acutiflora prefers a sunny spot, but also does well in partial shade. The grass does not like dry feet, so water it at least twice a week during dry periods. The dead, infertile stems can best be pruned in March/April.

Format
The plant has a height of 40-60cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plant is supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 23cm.
