Calathea 'Dottie'

The Calathea Dottie is a unique plant with striking pink stripes on its beautiful, dark green leaves. The underside of the leaf, with its attractive red color, also has great ornamental value. The Calathea originates from tropical regions of the Americas, such as Brazil and Columbia, where it grows primarily in the shade of other plants. The Calathea has a special characteristic: it closes its leaves when it gets dark, only to open them again in the morning. Sometimes you can even hear the soft rustle of the moving leaves. They also purify the air, improving the indoor climate. This makes them very suitable for schools and offices, for example.

Dog Care
A Calathea is not only a beautiful plant to look at, it also has an air purifying effect. The plant prefers to be in a bright spot, but not in direct sunlight. A spot a little further away in the room is also fine. Spray the leaves with water at least once a week, as they need high humidity. Ultimately, the Calathea can reach a height of about 100 cm. Furthermore, the Calathea is not poisonous to pets.
