Product Description

The Citrus Calamondin mini orange is a beautiful ornamental tree that resembles a mandarin with a wonderfully sweetly scented white blossom that is abundant in spring. This Citrus Calamondin is a cross between the Mandarin and the Citrus Kumquat. This citrus tree grows small round, orange fruits that are about 4 cm in diameter. In Latin countries, the fruits of this symmetrical, compact plant are known as 'agri-dulce' (sweet and sour), because the small, juicy orange fruits of the Calamondin first have a bitter taste but then a delicious sweet taste. The Calamondin can be eaten as a fruit, but is more often used in various dishes and liqueurs. This wonderfully scented plant can also be placed as a houseplant

Care
Citrus trees prefer a bright, sunny place, moderate water and regular fertilization. The fruits that follow may take up to a year to ripen, but they are well worth the wait. Place the plants outside in full sun from mid-March to October, but allow them to get used to the sun during the first few weeks to avoid burning of the leaves. Because the Calamondin is not winter hardy, it must be kept indoors in winter. Water less in winter, but do not let the plant dry out completely. Too much or too little water can cause the fruits to drop.

Format
The plant has a height of 55-65cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plant is supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 19cm.
