The name 'Red Dragon' is derived from the characteristic red color of the stems. This bright, deep red shade gradually fades to a more subtle color as the stems age. Fargesia Red Dragon is also very winter hardy to -20 degrees Celsius and evergreen. Care
Fargesia Red Dragon is a bushy bamboo suitable for all types of soil. 'Red Dragon' thrives in semi-shade to full sun and is a relatively low-maintenance plant. The maximum height is approximately 300 cm. The plant needs sufficient water, especially in the summer, and prefers well-drained soil. Pruning is not necessary, but is allowed to maintain the desired shape and height.
