Festuca glauca 'Elijah Blue' - Set of 9 - Ornamental grass

These beautiful blue-grey grass balls are one of the most popular grasses. The Festuca glauca 'Elijah Blue' is also called Blue Fescue. It is a very stylish garden plant and an excellent evergreen ground cover. The 'Elijah Blue' plants look like small cushions in the garden. These beautiful round shapes consist of very fine, intense ice-blue leaves that turn greener in winter. From late spring to summer, the plant grows with narrow, blue-green flower plumes that turn golden brown.

Care
Festuca glauca 'Elijah Blue' is drought-resistant and has beautiful colours all year round. This plant retains its colour in winter and is winter-hardy to -22 degrees Celsius. Pruning is limited to removing the old leaves once or twice a year. Planting is possible from spring (March) to autumn. When planting Festuca as ground cover, a planting distance of 20 cm between plants is recommended. Plant the grass in moderately fertile, well-drained soil in full sun. Festuca glauca 'Elijah Blue' does best as a colourful solitary, but also does well in groups as ground cover or in a pot on a balcony or terrace.

Format
The plants have a height of 10-15cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 9cm.
