Ficus Ginseng grows in the beautiful south of China and Malaysia. Ginseng is the Chinese word for 'root', which refers to the root stump of the plant. It takes years to form the whimsical nature of this root stump. Then the small-leaved ficus is grafted onto the root stump. With a lot of patience, the plant is pruned, which creates the bonsai-like shape. The genus Ficus belongs to the family of mulberry plants (Moraceae) and is one of the most popular types of Bonsai for beginners.

Dog Care
Ficus Ginseng (also called Ficus Microcarpa Ginseng) requires a light location without bright sunlight. The lighter the plant is, the more water it needs. So water regularly, never let the pot bulb dry out. In the summer, the plant can also be outside for a while, provided the temperature does not drop below 12-15 degrees Celsius. Yellow, brown or ugly leaves can be removed. If you want to prune the plant, it is best to do this in the fall. To give the plant some extra vitality, it can be fed with Bonsai food. Please note: In the beginning, the Bonsai may lose leaves, this is not harmful. The plant needs some time to 'get used' to its new location, so do not move it too often. New leaves will grow naturally. Always provide sufficient light and water in the beginning.

Format
The plant has a height of 55-65cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plant is supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 20cm.

Sending a plant is a little different than sending a book or a pair of socks. Plants live, breathe, and deserve a little extra attention. That's why we handle your order with care, from grower to doorstep. On this page, we'll show you step by step how we do it – transparently, sustainably, and with a love for plants.

Fresh from the grower

As soon as your order arrives, we purchase the plants fresh from our growers. This ensures you receive a healthy, strong plant that won't be stored unnecessarily. At our warehouse in Bleiswijk, the plants are carefully inspected as soon as they arrive. Only plants that meet our quality standards are put through to the packaging process.

Carefully packaged

Packing is done with great care. Each plant is placed in a sturdy cardboard box, specifically designed for its size. Where necessary, we use a paper sleeve or honeycomb cardboard for extra protection during transport. Cardboard inlays ensure the plant is securely fastened and cannot shift within the box, preventing damage to the leaves or pot.

Shipping to the carrier

After the plant is packed, we'll add the shipping label. As soon as the package is handed over to GLS or DPD and scanned, you'll automatically receive an email with a track & trace code. This way, you can track exactly where your package is and when it will be delivered.

Fast and safe delivery

The plants are shipped with DPD or GLS, depending on the destination. These carriers have extensive experience transporting living products. The boxes are always kept upright to prevent damage to the plants during transport. Depending on the country of delivery, you will receive your order within 2 to 8 business days.

With care from start to finish

In short, at Florastore, quality, sustainability, and care are central to the entire shipping process. You'll receive a fresh plant, safely packaged and delivered quickly – just as it should be.
