Ficus Lyrata - Set of 2 - Fiddle Leaf Plant

The Ficus Lyrata has been one of the most popular houseplants for decades! The plant is easily recognizable by its large leaves. Because the leaves have a narrow bottom and a wider end, the plant is also called the violin plant. When the leaves are dried, they can be used for the outside of cigars. That also explains the second nickname of the plant: the tobacco plant. The Ficus Lyrata originally comes from the African rainforests, where it can grow up to 20 meters high with leaves of 50 cm in size. Doesn't that sound like music to your ears?!

Care
Ficus Lyrata is a true sun worshipper. They love a spot in front of the window, the more (sun)light the better. Furthermore, when watering, it is better not to give too much water at once. It is best to keep the soil slightly moist. It is not a problem if the soil dries out a little. In addition, the pansy plant likes high humidity, so it is advisable to water the plant occasionally. Do choose a spot out of the reach of children and pets, because the leaves are slightly poisonous and cause bumps on the skin if swallowed. Eventually, Ficus Lyrata can grow to a height of more than 3 meters indoors!

Format
