This beautiful Kentia palm, also known as the Howea Forsteriana, really creates an exotic atmosphere in your home. The palm originally comes from Australia, but is very popular indoors. This species of Forsteriana is therefore the only Kentia that is grown in our regions. The plant belongs to the palm family and is one of the oldest houseplants! It is also a relatively slow-growing and strong palm, which makes it quite easy to care for.
Care
The Kentia is ideal for people without green fingers, because the plant needs little water. From February to September, watering it once a week is sufficient. The rest of the year, it should be watered once a month. In addition, the ideal room temperature for the Kentia is between 15C° and 25C°. The plant needs a lot of light, but does not like direct sunlight because the leaves will burn. It prefers a shady or semi-shady spot. It is therefore best to place it near a north-facing window. If the leaves become lighter or yellow, this may mean that it is getting too much sunlight. In that case, move the Kentia to a shadier spot.
Format
The plant has a height of 90-100cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plant is supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 18cm.
