Product Description
With its compact shape and dark purple flowers, Lavandula grown on a stem is one of the popular lavender plants. Lavender is a wonderfully scented, perennial plant from the Mediterranean region. The French cultivated lavender for the perfume industry as early as the 17th century. Today, lavender not only brightens up the garden, but is also a great asset in the home and in the kitchen. In the kitchen, young leaves can be used in the preparation of lamb or mutton, in fish dishes and stews. The fragrant stems of lavender are ideal for cutting or drying, and the nectar-rich flowers are particularly attractive to bees, but also to people.
Care
When lavender plants are well cared for, they can bloom profusely. Prune the plants twice a year, in April and October. If you prune in October, do this to 25 to 45 centimeters above the ground, but make sure to leave some green. The second pruning of lavender is done after flowering, between August and October. Remove the faded flowers by cutting them off. The overhanging branches can also be removed. Water the lavender plants regularly and make sure they get enough light.
Format
The plants have a height of 45-55cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 15cm.
