Mahonia 'Soft Caress' - Set of 2 - Mahogany

This beautiful Mahonia Soft Caress is the first thornless Mahonia variety; its leaves are soft and feathery. The plant remains green year-round. Starting in August, yellow, sweet-smelling flower spikes emerge above the foliage, rising upright. After flowering, the flowers develop blue berries towards winter. This plant deserves a spot on the patio or balcony, but it can also form a beautiful part of a larger arrangement in a border or garden. The Mahonia Soft Caress can survive down to -12°C and is therefore not fully winter-hardy. Therefore, some protection is necessary during cold winters.

Dog Care
The Mahonia Soft Caress prefers a sheltered spot in sun or partial shade in sandy, humus-rich soil. The plant is winter-hardy to 12 degrees Celsius; protect it from frost if necessary. For more abundant flowering, fertilize annually.

Format
The plants have a height of 30-40cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 13cm.
