Monstera Deliciosa - Hole plant

The Monstera Deliciosa is also called the Swiss Cheese Plant in the Netherlands and Belgium. The plant owes this name to the special shape of the leaf, as holes appear in the leaves as the plant ages. The Swiss Cheese Plant is a real tropical climbing plant that can climb very high. In addition, the Monstera can grow very quickly with the right care. And the care is not very difficult, the Monstera is an easy plant as it does not require much light. With the characteristic aerial roots, nutrients and moisture are absorbed from the trunk as well as from the air. In the jungle it is mainly dark and that is also the reason why the Swiss Cheese Plant grows well in shady places.

Dog Care
The Monstera Deliciosa is a creeping climber and can withstand drought well, but does prefer a lot of water. Make sure that the potting soil always remains slightly moist. Furthermore, as mentioned, the Monstera is not a difficult plant in terms of location, since the plant does not need much sunlight. Once the plant is satisfied, it can grow several new leaves per year. At very low temperatures of ten degrees or less, the growth rate decreases considerably.
