The olive tree, officially Olea Europaea, is the oldest known tree in history. With their silvery leaves, gnarled trunks and clusters of fragrant white flowers in spring, these characteristic trees are beautiful eye-catchers in the garden during all seasons. It is a beautiful evergreen tree that adds a Mediterranean touch to the garden or balcony. Olive trees are very winter-hardy, making them ideal for colder regions. And of course, the tree also produces real olives!
Care
Olive trees are ideal for any garden. The trees can be planted in pots and placed on the terrace, but they can also be planted in the open ground. Olive trees prefer a sunny position and do not like wet feet. So if the tree is planted in a pot, make sure the pot has holes at the bottom so that excess water can drain. Water the Olea regularly in spring and summer. Pruning is not necessary for the time being, but is best done in early spring or autumn (around October). Before the olives grow, the Olea blooms in the spring with small creamy white and yellow flowers. The olives can be harvested while still green or after they reach full maturity in late fall, depending on how they will be used.
Format
The plants have a height of 90-100cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 21cm.
