The olive bush, officially Olea Europaea, is a relative of the oldest known tree in history. With their silvery leaves and clusters of fragrant white flowers in spring, these characteristic shrubs are beautiful eye-catchers in the garden during all seasons. It is a beautiful evergreen shrub that gives a Mediterranean touch to the garden or balcony. The olive bushes are very winter-hardy, making them ideal for colder areas. And of course, the shrub also grows real olives!
Care
Olive bushes are ideal for any garden. The bushes can be planted in pots and placed on the terrace, but they can also be planted in the ground. Olive bushes prefer a sunny spot and do not like wet feet. So when planting the bush in a pot, make sure that the pot has holes at the bottom so that excess water can drain away. Water the olive bush regularly in spring and summer. Pruning is not necessary for the time being, but is best done in early spring or autumn (around October). Before the olives grow, the Olea blooms in spring with small creamy white and yellow flowers. The olives can be harvested while they are still green or after they have fully ripened in late autumn, depending on how they will be used.
Format
The plants have a height of 25-40cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 14cm.
