Product Description
The olive tree, officially Olea Europaea, is the oldest tree known in history. With their silvery foliage, gnarled trunks and clusters of fragrant white flowers in spring, these characteristic trees are beautiful focal points in the garden during all seasons. It is a beautiful evergreen tree that gives a Mediterranean touch to the garden or balcony. Olive trees are very hardy, making them ideal for colder areas. And of course the tree also grows real olives!
Care
Olive trees are ideal for any garden. The trees can be planted in pots and placed on the terrace, but they can also be planted in the ground. Olive trees prefer a sunny location and do not like wet feet. So if the tree is planted in a pot, make sure that the pot has holes at the bottom so that excess water can drain away. Water the Olea regularly in the spring and summer. Pruning is not necessary for the time being, but is best done in early spring or in the autumn (around October). Before the olives grow, the Olea blooms in the spring with small creamy white and yellow flowers. The olives can be harvested while they are still green or after they have fully ripened in late autumn, depending on how they will be used.
