For example, it is called Watercacao or Money Tree. The plant owes this name to the fact that in the Far East it is thought that the leaves could catch money. That makes this plant an ideal gift for a birthday, housewarming or wedding. The Pachira is a real tropical plant. It originally comes from the swamps of Eastern Brazil, Panama and Costa Rica. Here the plant can grow up to 20 meters high.

Care
The Pachira is ideal for people who sometimes forget about their plants, because it does not make many demands. And the braided stem makes the Pachira look very special! The Pachira likes a light spot, and not too close to the window. It stores water in its trunk, so the soil must be dry before it gets water again. In the winter, the plant likes to be watered, this prevents leaf loss and stimulates the production of new leaves. Old leaves can be cut away without any problems. In the summer, the plant needs water about twice a week.
