Pachira aquatica 'Money Tree'

With its large leaves and delicately woven stems, the Pachira is a beautiful and unique plant. The Pachira produces a relatively thin and flexible stem, which is often woven by hand. In East Asia, the plant is considered a symbol of prosperity and good fortune according to the teachings of Feng Shui. The five leaves on each branch represent the five basic elements of Feng Shui: metal, wood, water, fire, and earth. The Pachira has many nicknames, such as "water cacao" or simply "lucky tree." These names refer to the Asian belief that the leaves attract positive energy and prosperity. This makes the Pachira a popular gift for birthdays, housewarmings, or weddings. The Pachira is a true tropical plant, native to the swamps of eastern Brazil, Panama, and Costa Rica. In its natural habitat, the plant can grow up to 20 meters tall.

Dog Care
The Pachira is ideal for people who sometimes forget about their plants, because it does not make many demands. And the braided stem makes the Pachira look very special! The Pachira likes a light spot, and not too close to the window. It stores water in its trunk, so the soil must be dry before it gets water again. In the winter, the plant likes to be watered, this prevents leaf loss and stimulates the production of new leaves. Old leaves can be cut away without any problems. In the summer, the plant needs water about twice a week.
