The passiflora originates from Northern Argentina. In the tropical and subtropical areas it is a well-known plant because of its sweet fruits, also known as passion fruits. These plants do well in our climate as climbing plants with beautiful large flowers. These flowers grow from July to September. The passiflora is very winter-hardy and that ensures that the plant is covered with green leaves all year round. It is a climbing plant: the plants attach themselves and will quickly cover a trellis or a wall. They are strong and fast growers and have many flowers. Furthermore, they are ideal plants for in a pot but can also be planted in the open ground. The passiflora plants can grow up to 3 or 4 meters. The passiflora is also very attractive to bees and butterflies. You get the species Passiflora hybridum 'Avalanche', Passiflora hybridum 'Pura Vida', Passiflora hybridum 'Purple Haze'.

Care
The passion flower has no complicated needs. It grows quickly and is not demanding when it comes to soil and nutrition. The plant likes slightly moist soil and a sunny location with a little shade. However, the passion flower is poisonous to pets.

Format
The plants have a height of 25-40cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 9cm.
