The Peperomia Raindrop is a very strong houseplant with fresh green, teardrop-shaped leaves, hence the nickname. The plant looks a lot like the well-known pancake plant, but the leaves of the Peperomia Raindrop are larger and thicker. The Peperomia originally comes from South America. In Brazil, the country where it comes from, the Peperomia is a symbol of happiness and is often used 'to cheer someone up'. Furthermore, the plant has air-purifying qualities and is particularly good at removing formaldehyde from the air. This harmful substance is found in all households. According to research by NASA, a Peperomia can remove no less than 47% of the formaldehyde from the air!

Care
The Peperomia Raindrop is so popular because it is easy to care for and helps purify the air in your home. Although the Peperomia Raindrop does not need much water, do not let it dry out completely. Water it once a week in the summer. During the winter months, this can be reduced to once every two weeks. Do not let the plant stand in water for too long. Furthermore, the Peperomia Raindrop prefers a spot with a little shade. Temperatures between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius are ideal for the Peperomia Raindrop. Avoid direct sunlight.
