Product Description

One of the best known members of the Photinia family is the Red Robin. This species is known for its bright red leaves in spring. The shiny new leaves and red stems form a strong contrast with the mature green leaves lower down on the plant, creating a striking two-tone effect. The spring leaves are complemented by round clusters of creamy white flowers. This popular evergreen shrub is versatile, both as a shrub and as a hedge plant it is very suitable. If this plant is used as a hedge, it can be pruned heavily in spring to maintain its shape.

Care
The Photinia Red Robin likes a moist, well-drained soil. Furthermore, a sunny location is desired, which should be somewhat sheltered: the Photinia does not like too much wind. Early in the year, it is best to prune the plant, cut away dead or damaged branches.

The plants have a height of 30-40cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 17cm.
