The Rubus fruticosus 'Thornfree' is a thornless blackberry that produces many fruits. This blackberry produces delicious sweet fruits that can be used perfectly for jam or blackberry juice, for example. The Thornfree is self-pollinating. The blackberry blooms from the end of April to the beginning of June with striking and deliciously scented white-pink flowers that attract bees and bumblebees. The blackberries can be picked from July to September. The plant is winter hardy.

The blackberry likes a humus-rich, slightly acidic soil and likes a sunny spot, but also does well in partial shade.
