Sambucus Racem Plumosa Aureau is the most beautiful yellow-leaved elderberry. Its yellow color lasts throughout the season, well into autumn. The deeply incised yellow leaves of Sambucus Racem Plumosa Aureau are the shrub's greatest ornamental feature. Starting in May, white flowers appear in large umbels. These flowers are very popular with butterflies and bees. The dried blossoms can be used to make herbal tea. When the leaves first emerge, they are still green, but they quickly darken.

Without pruning, the Sambucus can quickly grow quite tall. However, the shrub is easy to prune, allowing you to control the size of this garden plant. To rejuvenate the shrub, prune it back to about 25-40 cm above the ground in winter or after flowering. Sambucus 'Racem Plumosa Aureau' is not demanding in terms of location and can reach a height of 250 cm.
