Care
The lilac is very hardy and loses its leaves in the fall. It prefers to be in the sun or partial shade. In a sunny location, the shrubs will flower very richly. The lilac has few soil requirements. After flowering, prune the shrub into shape, cut away shoots and remove old branches immediately so that new shoots get enough light and space.

Format
