Product Description

The Yucca Elephantipes is a sturdy indoor palm that originates from Central America. Here, this palm species is widely cultivated in large nurseries deep in the rainforests. The Yucca owes its name to its heavy rhizomes, which are reminiscent of elephant feet. The leaves of the Yucca Elephantipes are thick and fleshy with a sharp, finely serrated edge. The lower leaves of the Yucca die off naturally as the plant grows. These must be carefully removed to maintain a neat appearance.

Care
The Yucca is one of the easiest houseplants there is, because the plant does not need much water. Watering it once every two weeks is more than enough. It is very important that no water remains at the bottom of the pot, otherwise the roots will rot. The Yucca prefers a light location, but make sure that it is not in direct sunlight. Direct sunlight causes discolouration of the leaves. Once every 2-3 months the Yucca needs sufficient nutrition to ensure that the leaves remain a nice green. Please note: the plant is poisonous to humans and animals!

The plants have a height of 70-80cm upon delivery, measured including the nursery pot. The plants are supplied in a nursery pot with a diameter of 21cm.
